Parliamentary Debate  - Monday 14th May 2018

As a result of the support of the public and celebrities such as Adele and Stormzy we reached 156,000 signatures this meant that we were finally granted a Parliamentary debate.

In advance of the debate, members of GU were invited by the Speaker of the House of Commons, The Right Honourable John Bercow on Tuesday 8th May, to meet with MPs from all parties to share their stories, explain their demands and gain their support to participate in the debate. Ministers left The Speakers House very touched by the stories they heard and motivated to offer what support they could.

MPs were given a comprehensive briefing document which explains all the issues in more detail.
